Interview with Love, Mary about the “Fire of Love” drop

In February, we presented a drop in collaboration with the singer Love,Mary, which included the “Fire of Love” pendant. In an interview, the artist spoke about her work, the idea of the collaboration, and how the jewellery was created.

How did the idea for the collaboration come about?

In fact, we had been planning to create something together for a long time, we had a lot of ideas, so I couldn’t choose one particular one. Then I wrote the song “Kisses”, which has the phrase “Let the fire of love burn, because you are all I want” and I realised that this was it! We created a piece of jewellery in the shape of a fiery heart, which reproduces my tattoo, and added a hidden engraving with the lyrics.

How do the lines of your songs come about?

The birth process is very intimate and magical. I am inspired by my reactions to the outside world. It so happens that I perceive everything in life in an exaggerated way and put it on paper. All the songs are based on real events, they are all my stories that I have experienced and felt.

How long have you been writing songs?

I started doing this very early on, but it was poetry first. I wrote my first poem when I was 8 or 9 years old, and then I started composing melodies and adapting them into songs.

Where and with whom do you dream of singing?

As for the location, I don’t have any specific dreams, I just want a big and warm audience. As for the artist, I dream of singing on the same stage as Sevdaliza. This is a woman whose work and image inspire me.
